Acupressure

a lady having acupressure massageAcupressure is a method of healing that involves the use of finger tip pressure to press key points on the body in order to stimulate the body’s healing response. While acupuncture works on a deeper level, acupressure may sufice for certain conditions and help to bring the body back into balance. Acupressure can be used to help a wide range of conditions. However, I find it especially effective to help people with trapped nerves, tight muscles, headaches and issues with sinuses.

For people coming for acupuncture treatment for tight muscles and trapped nerves, I often begin the session with 10-15 minutes of acupressure to help loosen up the muscles first before applying the acupuncture. However, for people who would prefer to have a longer session of acupressure instead of acupuncture then I also offer a 45 minute acupressure session without the use of acupuncture. This is particularly appealing for those people who may have a needle phobia or who find the acupressure part of the treatment especially beneficial and would therefore, like to book a longer session using this treatment method. For information on pricing, please see my fees page, here.

Massage therapy is often also effective for people suffering with tight muscles and trapped nerves. for more info on massage, please see my massage page, here.
